2001 – Personal exhibition at San Giorgio in Poggiale, home of the Art and History Collections of the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation in Bologna. Participates in the Lineart Fair Gent (Belgium). Exhibition at the Sala XC Pacifici, Forlì;

2002 – Arte Fiera di Bari e Padova and holds a personal exhibition at the Galleria Mentana in Florence with the patronage of the Municipality of Florence. With an exhibition at the Circolo Virtus in Bologna, he remembers his friend Orlando Sirola. Personal exhibition at the Circolo del Castellazzo, Parma. In November and December 2002 he exhibits at the Galleria Comunale d'Arte Ex Pescheria in Cesena and on that occasion the Regional Council of Emilia-Romagna recognized the cultural value of the event and the artistic prestige acquired over the years by Tonino Gottarelli, awarding a plaque and a trophy;

2003 – In April he was invited to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to exhibit in the halls of the Circolo Munster; in the following May he took part in the “ Vernice ” exhibition at the Forlì Fair. He exhibited at the Il ritrovo degli artisti gallery in Trento in November and in the same month he took part in a large exhibition at the Forlì Contemporary Art Fair;

2005 – Exhibition at the Galleria Il Caminetto in Bologna. In June, in collaboration with the Department of Culture of Rimini, a review of over 70 paintings is presented at the Sala delle Colonne. Shortly after, in November, the Municipality of Cesena, together with the Foundation, organizes an exhibition at the Galleria d’arte Comunale, which encompasses the last thirty years of the artist’s activity, entitled “ Respiri di poesia ”;

2006 – Exhibition at the Il ritrovo degli artisti Gallery in Trento. Arte Fiera of Padua and Forlì;

2008 – Exhibition in Lugo di Romagna and at the Il ritrovo degli artisti gallery in Trento;

2010 – Exhibits at the Cattani Academy in Bologna;

2013 – Exhibition at the Galleria Fondatico in Bologna;

2017 – Exhibition 10 years after the death of Tonino Gottarelli at the San Domenico Museum in Imola curated by Claudio Spadoni.
